Stamp Your Own Designer Paper - Colour INKspiration Challenge #144

Hello and welcome to Paper Happinessity!  Thanks for joining me for another Colour INKspiration Challenge.

The inspiration photo for this Challenge was chosen by myself and allows us to create with five colours.  As well as these, we are also allowed to use metalics, black and white and neutrals. I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone has created with this bright and cheerful colour palette.

I decided to do some stamping and create my own Designer Paper, Artful Stampin' Style'.  I'm a huge fan of Ruth Trice and watch her regularly.  She is the Queen of 'stamped one sheet wonders' and I love how she uses her stamps to create this way.  I highly recommend going and watching her One Sheet Wonder Playlist over on You Tube.

Supplies:

  • Stamp Sets:  Textured Floral, Sending Smiles, Artistically Inks, Two-Tone Flora, Queen Bee, Quiet Meadow
  • Inks:  Crushed Curry, Lemon Lolly, Parakeet Party, Azure Afternoon, Bubble Bath
  • Cardstock:  Basic White
Video Tutorial showing how I stamped this can be seen here on You Tube

I created four cards with a portrait orientation using this one sheet of cardstock.  I have trimmed and matted each section on a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock allowing a tiny 1/8" border on all four sides.  Each of these were adhered to card bases in Night of Navy, Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake and Pebbled Path.

I will stamp a greeting on a label as I need them, depending on the occasion, attach with Dimensionals to the area of white space and add a few gems to complete the card fronts.  I've added a piece of Basic White cardstock to this insides of each one to finish them off.

Feel INKspired to join the challenge? I would love for you to join us! It's a great way to have fun with different colours!

Watercoloured Daisies - Colour INKspiration Challenge #143

Hello to all my lovely friends!  Welcome and thanks for popping in.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #143 has kicked off over on Facebook and we've been asked to create a project using at least three of the five, new 2023 - 2025 In Colours.  The inspiration photo for this Challenge was chosen by fellow Crew member, Jacque Williams and we are welcoming the amazing, Maheswari Rajaguru as our Guest Designer.  I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone else has created.

My card features the Cheerful Daisies Dies which I've teamed with the new Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder.  This folder co-ordinates with a set of dies which you can use to create beautiful embossed doilies or you can use on it's own like I have done.  I chose three colours: Pebbled Path, Moody Mauve and Wild Wheat, and grounded them with Very Vanilla. I love the soft, vintage vibe the colours have when put together.

Supplies:

  • Bundle: Cheerful Daisies Bundle
  • Embossing Folder: Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder
  • Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Pebbled Path, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
  • Ink:  Moody Mauve, Wild Wheat
  • Tools:  Paper Trimmer, Cut & Emboss Machine,
  • Adhesives:  Black Dimensionals, regular Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Glue
Let's Make It:
  • Create a cardbase in Very Vanilla.
  • Trim a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to give an 1/2" or 1cm border on the cardbase and run this through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder.
  • Mat this onto a piece of Pebbled Path cardstock allowing a small 1/16" or 2mm border.  Attach this to the cardback with Black Dimensionals.
  • Trim three squares of Very Vanilla cardstock measuring 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" or 4cm x 4cm and very gently, dip all four side into the Pebbled Path Stamp Pad.  Adhere these to the card front.
  • Watercolour half a sheet of Fluid 100 Watercolour paper using Moody Mauve ink and die cut three each of the upper and middle layers of the smaller full daisies.  Glue both layers together to create dimension.
  • Watercolour a small section of Fluid 100 Watercolour paper using Wild Wheat ink and die cut three of the smaller flower centres and glue these to the centre of each daisy.
  • Die cut three of the leaves from the large connected die.  I  kept the 'vein' in each leaf but you can easily remove this if you prefer.
  • Use Dimensionals to attach a daisy and leaf to each square.
  • To finish the inside, stamp two co-ordinating daisies on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in the bottom right hand corner, mat on a piece of Pebbled Path and glue inside.
