Supplies Needed:
  • Poinsettia Petals Bundle
  • Cardstock:  Whisper White Thick and regular, Pretty Peacock, Chamgpne Foil, Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper
  • Ink: Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Coastal Cababa, Pretty Peacock
  • Stampin' Blends: Petal Pink, Pretty Peacock, Colour Lifter
  • Embellishments: Basic Pearls
  •  Punch: Banners Pick A Punch
  • Tools:  Cut & Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips
  • Adhesives: Tombow, Dimensionals
All products are available here in my online store or alternatively you can get there by clicking on the tab above or on the link under each product thumbnail further down.

Putting it all together:

Take a strip of watercolour paper measuring 2 1/2" x 7", and paint strips of colour.

Stamp the full poinsettia flower twice in Petal Pink ink and colour the flowers with the Petal Pink Stampin' Blends. Die cut one using the co-ordinating die then fussy cut the top petals of the second.

Adhere the two flower pieces together and add some Basic Pearls to the centre.

Stamp the two leaves in Pretty Peacock and colour in both with Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blends.  If you feel you need to, use the Colour Lifter Blend Pen to add highlights.

Place Dimensionals on the back of each of the three pieces.

TIP:  For the leaves, by placing Dimensionals on the outer end and leaving the inner end free, this will allow the end of the leaves to stay raised when you add them to your project.

Stamp your chosen sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a strip of Whisper White cardstock measing 4" x 1".

Cut a strip of Petal Pink cardstock measuring 4 1/2" x 3/4"

Using the Banners Pick A Punch, punch each end of both strips.

Place Dimensionals on the Whisper White strip and place this centrally on top of the Petal Pink strip.

TIP:  Put a drop of Tombow glue on each of the Dimensionals to allow wiggle time to get your strips lined up perfectly.

My card base for this card is 8 1/4" x 8" scored at 4" to create a slim-line card.

Take a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock measuring  8" x 1 1/2" and adhere this to the bottom half of the card front.
The watercoloured strip is adhered to a piece of Champagne Foil measuring 7 1/8" x 2 5/8".

Glue this piece over the top of the Pretty Peacock cardstock, allowing an even border on three sides.

Arrange the poinsettia and the leaves over on the left hand side of the watercoloured strip.

Glue this down with Tombow glue.

Your card in complete!

Coming Home Bundle - Wishing You All Things Fabulous (In Your New Home)

Hello and thanks for popping in!

The last project I have featuring the Trimming The Town Suite from Stampin' Up! is a non-Christmas card.  Yes, this suite of products is included in the Mini Catalogue showing mostly Christmas products, however, this suite is is definitely one you can use for other occasions.  Here I have created a card for our new neighbours.  They are in the process of building a new home and are just about ready to move in.  The sentiment comes from All Things Fabulous and fits perfectly!

 Supplies Needed:
  • Cardstock: Whisper White Thick A4, Night of Navy, Whisper White (2020-21 AC)
  • Designer Series Paper: Trimming The Town (June - December 2020 MC)
  • Stamp Set:  All Things Fabulous (2020-21 AC)
  • Dies:  Stitched So Sweetly, Home Together (2020-21 AC)
  • Ink:  Night of Navy (2020-21 AC)
  • Embellishments:  Linen Thread (2020-21 AC)
  • Tools:  Paper Trimmer, Cut & Emboss Machine (2020-21 AC)
  •  Adhesives:  Tombow Liquid Glue, Dimensionals (2020-21 AC)
All products are available here in my online store or alternatively you can get there by clicking on the tab above or on the link under each product thumbnail further down.

Taking a piece of DSP measuring 1" less on two sides than the card front, I glued this onto a piece of Night of Navy cardstock measuring 1/8" larger on two sides than the piece of DSP. I then wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around the lower section three times and tied a small bow to the far left.

I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and die cut a scalloped rectangle using the second largest die. My sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy Ink also on Whisper White cardstock and trimmed to fit across but slightly wider than the scalloped rectangle.  I added in the small house die cut using dimensionals and added in the sentiment strip under this using the linen thread as a guide.

The completed card topper was then glue to the card base using Tombow Liquid Glue.
