Christmas In July

Hello everyone and thanks for popping in!

Last weekend I held a Christmas In July card class and everyone seemed to have a ball.  This is really a thing here in Australia as our Christmases are usually hot and very humid due to our southern hemisphere summer and cooking up a storm can be a bit of a struggle.

For my class, I tried to keep things simple.  I decided to feature the Mini Pumpkin Paper boxes and then get everyone to make up four note cards (which fit perfectly in these boxes) of the same design. Everyone could choose which Designer Series Paper (DSP) they could use. For this I used the returning favourites: Feels Like Frost 6 x 6 DSP, Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP and Toile Tidings DSP which I had left over from last year. For the card design, I went with Bruno Bertucci's Scrappy Strip Technique.  These papers will be available for purchase from 4 August until 31 December 2020.

The labels for my cards were created by stamping on a strip of Whisper White card stock and centrally placing in the Tailored Tag Punch which creates the hexagon shape. To add definition, I gently dragged each side of my tag through my ink pad.

The boxes were decorated to co-ordinate the cards and features the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and Pine Tree Punch together with a piece of vellum punched with the Label Me Lovely Punch. The trees were decorated with the Rhinestone Basic Jewells. These items are currently available in the 2020/21  Annual Catalogue.

These were made up as table treats and were a hit with everyone.  Inside there was a White Christmas truffle. The Mini Curvy Keepsake Box dies are also available in the current Annual Catalogue.

Here are a few more photos from my classes.  Sorry no photo of the ladies creating, we were all too busy to even think about getting the camera out.

If you have any questions about my projects, please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Have a great day!
