Colour INKspiration Challenge #94 feat. Brushed Blossoms Bundle from Stampin' Up! ®

Hello and thanks for popping in! Nothing like a new challenge to make you realise the weeks are clicking over way too fast!

My card for this challenge features the Brushed Blossoms Bundle.  I've also added a few die cut leaves using the detailed leaf die from Perennial Petals die set.  I absolutely loved the colours in this challenge!

 Supplies Needed:

  • Brushed Blossoms Bundle, Perennial Petals Dies
  • Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Mango Melody, Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, Very Vanilla
  • Inks: Seaside Spray
  • Stampin' Blends Alcohol Pens: Crumb Cake, Mango Melody, Misty Moonlight
  • Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen
  • Atistic Blooms Adhesive Backed Sequins
  • Adhesives:  Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • Tools:  Mini Cut & Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer

Assembling The Card:

Stamp the smaller brushstroke stamp on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that measures 1/2" smaller on two sides than your card front, in Seaside Spray ink.  Stamp both first and second generation for added depth.

Attach this to a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  Mine is only 1/16" larger on two sides than the piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  This is going to give you a very fine border.

Die cut two sets of the large flowers in Misty Moonlight cardstock.  Using both the dark and light Mistly Moonlight Stampin' Blends, colour the top layer in the dark, and the middle layer in the light. This will give you three tones of Misty Moonlight colour.

Die cut one set of the small flowers in Mango Melody cardstock and using both the dark and light Mango Melody Stampin' Blends, colour the top layer in the dark and the middle layer in the light.  Again, this is going to give you three tones of Mango Melody.

Die cut three sets of the leaf die in Crumb Cake cardstock and using the dark Crumb Cake Stampin Blens, colour only the top layer.  This is going to give you two tones of Crumb Cake.

Die cut two of the detailed leaves from the Perennial Petals Dies and colour both of these with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. Trim the leaves from the stems.  You only need to colour the leaves and not the stems as the stems are not needed.

Using Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue, assemble the flowers and leaves.

Arrange your pieces and attach all except the detailed leaves with Mini Dimensionals.  I used Tombow glue to adhere these down under my flowers.

Lastly, I added a few sequins from the Artistry Blooms Sequins.

A view of the layers.

This card is a great one for using up scraps and by using the Stampin' Blends, you are achieving depth and dimension to your die cuts without using different coloured cardstock.
