Colour INKspiraton Challege #160 feat. Chic Dies

Hi there and welcome!  And thanks for stopping by!

Today I have a card which I created for Colour INKspiration Challenge #160.  The colour palette for this challenge is a soft, pastel combination and was a dream to work with.  Don't let five colours put you off!   The inspiration photo for this challenge was chose by Crew Member, Vicki Boucher and our Guest Designer is the lovely Fiona Rozario.  I can't wait to go and see what everyone has created.

My card features some of our older products from the current Annual Catalogue. I've used the Chic Dies and did a little dry embossing, die-cutting, ink blending and embellishing with a gorgeous end result.  No stamping unless I decide to add a sentiment.

Supplies:

  • Dies:  Chic Dies
  • Embossing Folder:  Elegant Eucalyptus 3D
  • Cardstock:  Soft Seafoam, Highland Heather, Basic White, Balmy Blue
  • Ink:  Lemon Lolly, Highland Heather, Bubble Bath
  • Embellishments:  Purple Fine Shimmer Gems
  • Adhesives:  Tombow Liquid Glue, Dimensionals
  • Tools:  Paper Trimmer, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Specialty Plate, Blending Brushes

I embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock using one of the Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folders (it comes in a pair), trimmed and matted it onto a piece of Highland Heather cardstock and adhere this onto a Soft Seafoam card base.  I die-cut three sets of flowers in Basic White, two smaller leaves in Soft Seafoam, two larger leaves in Balmy Blue and two more leaves in Basic White.

I gently blended ink onto each of the flower bases then glued the co-ordinating top sections to each.  These were arranged across the card front and attached with Dimensionals.  The leaves were placed under the flowers and adhered with Tombow.  To finish the front, I added three of the Highland Heather gems from the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.

For the inside, I  added an extra flower and two leaves to a piece of Basic White cardstock to the lower left corner, trimmed the overhang, matted this to a piece of Highland Heather and adhered this to the inside.
