Colour INKspiration Challenge #106 feat. Stitched Greenery Die

Hello crafty friends!  Welcome, and thanks for popping in!

Colour INKspirations Challenge #105 is now live over on our Colour INKspiration Challenge Facebook Page.  The photo for this challenge was picked by fellow Crew Member, Lou Kitzelman and our Guest Designer this challenge is the very talented Berdien Weideveld

My card features quite a few Stampin' Up! products but I wanted to show off the beautiful Stitched Greenery Die which I have used today for my background.  This die is amazing and I'm very surprised at how well you can put it with so many other products like I've done here.  I've also used the Creating With Friends Stamp Set and the very popular Penned Flowers Dies. To finish off my card, I've added a few sequins from the Artistry Bloom Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Supplies Needed:

  • Dies:  Stitched Greenery, Penned Flowers
  • Stamp Set:  Create With Friends
  • Cardstock:  Basic White Thick (card base), Basic White Regular (die cuts), Pool Party, Night of Navy, Real Red
  • Stampin' Blends: Real Red Combo Pack
  • Ink:  Night of Navy, Versamark
  • Embossing Powder:  White
  • Embellishments: Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins
  • Tools:  Blending Brush, Paper Snips (aka scissors) Paper Trimmer, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Heat Tool
  • Adhesives:  Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Glue

Assembly:

You'll need a card base in Basic White Thick cs, a piece of Night of Navy cs measuring 1/4" smaller on all sides that your card front, a piece of Pool Party cs that you can trim down to 1/16" smaller on all sides than the piece of Night of Navy cs, two smaller pieces of Real Red cs measuring approx 1" x 3" and pieces of Basic White cs for the die cuts.

Run the piece of Pool Party cs through your die cutting machine with the Stitched Greenery Die

Carefully blend Night of Navy Ink onto the piece of Pool Party to create an ombre effect along one of the longer sides.

Then trim down so that it's 1/16" smaller on all sides than the piece of Night of Navy cs

From a scrap of Basic White cs, die cut the scallop edge.

From a scrap of Basic White cs, die cut the detailed floral die

From a scrap of Basic White cs, die cut three of the large flowers.

Colour these using the Real Red Stampin Blend Combo Pack - I started with dark towards the centres then went over the top with the light, blending with the dark.

Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink on Night of Navy cs and heat emboss in White Embossing Powder.

Fussy cut each word.

To put it all together, adhere the two pieces of Real Red cs to the back of the Night of Navy piece at a 'jaunty angle' then adhere this to your card front also at a slightly 'jaunty angle'.
Take the piece of Pool Party and adhere this on top taking card not to push too hard if you're using Tombow Glue otherwise it will come up through the holes created from the die - ask me how I know this!
Adhere the scallop edge strip, followed by the detailed floral die and the Real Red flowers.
Lastly add your sentiment pieces. Attach the 'Amazing' first with Mini Dimensionals, then adhere the 'YOU'RE'  with Tombow.

To finish off, add a few sequins and you're card is done!
